BioKill Sanitizer Review

Not only is the heat and humidity of HK summer really getting to me, the thing that bugs me the most is the rapid growth of Moulds on some of the stuff at home such as the upholstery and my speakers cover...

I saw this in the supermarket (Park and Shop) and decided to give the product a chance as it is organic formula (that means no harsh chemicals) and supposedly non harmful to the environment. It is safe on clothes and food (though I really wont think of putting it on my food)

Product Label

Biokill Offical Website

  • Non-rinse formula and there are no areas of restriction, it is safe to apply in sensitive areas, e.g. all household surfaces, on clothes & accessories, toys, etc
  • Can be applied on food, it reduces bacteria-loading and keeps it at low levels thereby extending shelf-life and food safety
Product Review

The spray works really really well. I tested it on my dining chairs, hi-fi speakers, the gap between tiles in toilet, wooden book cabinet and even on stinking gym gear.

The spray kept the moulds off my dining chair for at least a month now. The hi-fi speaker lasted for about 3 weeks since it was closer to the balcony with constant exposure to the damp humid air. But even then, the growth was limited and retarded. It didnt go poof like a bloody mushroom field as it previously did before I had the spray.

On the toilet tiles. While it didnt manage to get the gaps sparkling white again (u need bleach for that effect), the moulds definitely was gone and didnt reappear. Then again, I didnt scrub the tiles. I sprayed and wipe it off and the effect was evidently clear.

As for the stinking gym gear. My husband forgot to take it out for washing after use for days, wrapped in his plastic bag in the bag..... so u can imagine the bacteria growth. I wash it once but while its clean, there was still this mild stench I didnt like. So I spray the biokill on it and rinse it again. Fantastic! The smell was effectively removed!

The brand has other products which I have yet to try.

Verdict
It is definitely a very very good buy as far as I am concerned. At about HK$52 per bottle, a little spray goes a long way! This one is a keeper for any household invaded by moulds and those concerned with the impact of the toxic residue and vapours industrial sprays on our environment, including yourself.

Update: 2011
Dont ask me why but they dont stock this in supermarket anymore:(

Additional Handy Tips

- Remove odor on clothes, add half a cup of baking soda to a full load of washing ( better patch test on the fabric before u do so. It didnt work as well as I like on smell but it definitely got rid of oil stain patches on cotton tees for my patch test)

- Cleaning shelves and walls of fridge, add half and half solution of water and white distilled vinegar.

Muji Bath Salt review

I confessed, I am a sucker for Muji products.... well apart from the apparels coz they are abit on the pricey side for the design and quality.

Back to product in hand, Muji's Bath salt simply won me over BIG TIME. I have tried so many different brands, including those I snuck back from those top end hotels. Muji beat them hands down!

Dropping my usual lavender for the moment, I just acquired the new limited seasonal edition - LYCHEE scent. Oh...it is soooooo heavenly!!! I have never smell any thing nicer than this and I am not being biased!

Usage Purpose (as translated from the Japanese label)
The label indicated that it is good for recovering from fatigue, shoulder stiffness, body aches, sprain, bruise, chaps, frostbites, skin roughness. It is also good for relieving body coldness after child delivery.

Review
The water becomes a white milky colour as the powder dissolves into the water. The scent is fantastic and lasting! I definitely felt more refreshed after a good hot soak. My skin becomes nice and soft too (including my feet!!) What else can I say? It is a heavenly bath! If u have hand wash stuff like table cloth for wiping dust that doesnt need spanking new detergent wash all the time, I will use the bath water for washing it to as alternate purpose after I finish my bath.

Verdict
If u love bath like me, Get it Get it Get it!!!!

Menard Beauness Spa Mineral Review

I bought this as a complement use with the moisture lotion. Initially I had thought this acts like a toner but actually it isnt, its the step before you apply your usual toner.

Product review
The idea of using this lotion is to rid the dead skin built up on our face.

Initially I was skeptical. I was thinking, couldnt and isnt what toner is for? To remove excess residue and refreshes the skin?

Upon repeated use, I did discover that it improves the clarity of my face. When I use a cotton wool pad to clean my face, I could see how the cotton pad would at times changes colour from the initial clear pad, presuming that is the dead cells not visible to naked eyes. I tested half of my face with just only toner lotion and the other half with beauness and my skin did feel smoother and cleaner.

However, I do not agree with the other claim that it protects from acne. As many other online reviews, I think zits will still breakout no matter how diligent you use this. I dont have serious acne so I do not know how much it will improve the condition. However, it sure doesnt stop those infrequent zits from popping up, nor make it subside any faster. I dont think it really closes the pore as claimed as well.

I think this lotion is really just to effectively remove stubborn dead cells (that is harder to wash off), and clarify your complexion. Reason why this is an alternative to facial scrub is that it is much gentler being liquid form, and it would not damage your outer skin surface as overzealous scrub might.

Verdict
It's so so for me. It's something optional to buy but definitely not a must have in my case (or esp when you do not have spare cash). Yet if you prefer to really remove those dead skin without scrubbing, this is a pretty good option then

Quick Moisture Review: Menard Beauness

In summer, the worst feeling you can have is to feel like a thick layer of cream spread over your face. It is even worse for me with oily to combination skin. With the heavy air pollution in HK, the last thing I need is to have dust settled and feeling them resting on my face. So my personal preference is for something light-weight, fragrance free and absorbed quickly.

I have tried many "light" lotion from Estee, Lancome, Anna Sui, Origins to Kiehl. Finally settle on Menard Beauness Quick Moisture since the item fulfilled all the ticks on my personal checklist.

Product review
I bought this with completely no expections. I wasnt sure how good it was but thought what the heck. I always have my Estee and La Mer to fall back on.

Surprisingly, this quick moisture lotion proves to be a good buy. Its watery texture (oil free) is a big plus so I dont feel like I am clogging my pores. It is fragrance free and gets absorbed into my skin quickly. I feel like my skin is brighter and it doesnt cause any outbreaks (though i still do get zits occasionally if I pull too many late nights). When u wash it off your hands after application, it doesnt leave a clinging (slimy) feeling that needs to be rid off with hand soap.

I think it does a fantastic job in keeping my face hydrated. I can go all day out in the open, and not feel my face getting the shine, and certainly no heavy-layer-on-my face feeling either. For day time, I think its certainly a handy light weight lotion. The product also claim to tackle bacteria on surface (personally I am not sure what is the measurable results to judge if that works)

Active Ingredients
- Mineral Essence SP
Combination of various minerals coming from Japanese hot springs

- Medical Essence SP
Dipotassium glycyrrhizate and Vitamin B combination
Strengthen the Mineral Essence SP effects
Anti stress lotion that enhances a stronger skin

*Fragrance free | Non comedogenic | Allergy tested (formulated to minimize the risk of allergy)

Ingredients details
-The Mineral Essence SP

The ingredient from spa minerals helps to produce strong skin. It produces smooth and strong skin (that will not easily cause adult acnes and skin roughness). It protects the skin from bad influences of stress and it improves the temporary condition of the skin.

Menard found out that minerals such as magnesium and calcium in the skin play an important role in producing a stronger skin. Those minerals are added in the Beauness's formula.

The Mineral Essence SP activates the enzyme that forms the horny cells which produces normal cells and by thus produces smooth and strong skin. If the enzyme that forms horny cells are active, skin will born to be sooth and strong. If it is not active, the skin will be born to be prone to adult acnes and skin roughness.

-The Medical Essence SP

The combination of Vitamin B - which suppresses the activity of lipase (sebum-splitting enzyme) and which works on the cause of inflammation and aggravation of acnes - and of Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate (anti-inflammatory ingredient from crude drug). Improve the effect of Mineral Essence SP.

Verdict
It's definitely a great buy for those hot summer months. I have yet to test it out in winter months to see if it works equally good. Also, this comes without SPF protection, so for those paranoid, you can top it up with a sunscreen of your personal choice (which i thinks is a better idea).

Facial Wash Review: Menard Embellir Washing

Reverted back to using Menard after I found their counter stores again in HK recently. The last time I had used the product was 15 years ago under a different range but worked equally good.
My mum used to use it as well and she use to swear by it before it somehow "disappeared" in Singapore.

Menard (was) is not a prolific brand but it's definitely a brand to be reckon with. Die hard followers will claim its products work even better than Shiseido...which personally, I think so too for me. Some call it a "Tai Tai"brand which I dont understand why since they always have had range targeted at young adults/ late teens.

Product View
I started on Embellir washing cream for half a year now. That is how long a tube is lasting me with daily use, on average twice a day. I bought this over the LS range as Embellir's will be less "dry" on my face.

This cleanser takes slightly more "work" than other normal cleanser as you really need to work it up to a foam by adding appropriate water. U apply the very dense foam on area to be cleaned and supposedly the impurities are removed by the foam as you gently massage your face.

It doesnt have any strong fragrance and your skin feel really clean after rinse, without feeling too tight. If u do esp in cold months, even just simple dab of toner does the trick of removing any taut feeling. I notice a significantly reduction in blackheads in my open pores on my nose., and my face isnt as oily as before (which may be also due to combine use with other Menard products)

The washer is also very gentle to my face despite its effective cleansing prowess. My face has always been super duper sensitive and this cleanser has work perfectly without any irritation even when my reddish skin was overexposed to the sun. There were absolutely no tingling nor burning sensation at all even on daily use. On normal days, after washing and even without apply hyrating cream, I didnt experience any excessive "oiliness" on my face which is a common trait with some other brands I had used.

Active Ingredients

The product packaging and website doesnt indicate the full list of ingredients as required by FDA. The only 2 advertised ingredients are as below. The HK counter sales has no idea who goes into the product. When queried, their trainer only vaguely advises that "No chemicals" are used.
  • Black Reishi Extracts: Prevents genes aging and extends cells' life by revitalizing them
  • Red Reishi extracts and BRG-N ( Bifidobacterium Longum Repair Gene): Repairs DNA damaged by UV rays and free radicals
The Reishi

Red Reishi and Black Reishi: precious herbal medicines that enhance the vitality of cells
The power of Reishi for youthful and beautiful skin

From among the many examples of research conducted on materials that prevent the aging of cells over many years, we have taken particular note of the Chinese herbal medicineReishi, discovering its wonderful effects. Red Reishi has the effect of repairing genes damaged by ultraviolet rays and free radicals. It also improves the energy generation capacity of cells which have withered with age. BlackReishi has the effect of eliminating of waste products built up in cells during the aging process. It also suppresses the shortening oftelomere (the chromosome which determines the life of a cell), caused by ultraviolet rays and free radicals. And we have found numerous ways that these twoReishis refresh brain cells. The integration of research focused on cells and research focused on herbal medicine has resulted in youthful and beautiful skin due to theEMBELLIR line. [ read more]

Product Verdict
I would certainly continue to use this washer as a clean face is an important step before even considering any use of moisturiser.

For those who would prefer a Menard range that is certifed without Paraben, you can consider the Meliease range, which is aimed and targeted for sensitive skin.

Meliease — A gentle skin care line for delicate skin. It contains hyaluronic acid, ceramide (intercellular lipid) and amino acid emollient ingredient, which connect horny cells and improve the barrier function of horny layer. Meliease protects the skin from external stimuli and maintain moisture in the skin. [read more]

Shampoo review: Avalon Organics Refreshing Shampoo

Product Review:
Saw this on promotional price (HK$88) in Citysuper and thought it smelled really fruity nice. I had a choice between clarifying lemon scent or the refreshing grapefruit scent. I chose the latter.

One of the main attracting feature was that it was Parabens and harsh chemical free

Based on one use, the first draw was its striking lovely fruit scent. It doesnt come on strong nor overwhelm your senses in an enclosed shower area. Neither is it so mild that the scent is gone once u washes it off. It has a relative staying power.

In terms of washing ability, I tried it and surprisingly without the Laureth sulfate ingredient, this stuff lathers just as well and easily. In addition, the hair didnt leave my hair dry nor entangled as some other brands did. Even without the use of conditioner, my hair washes off straight and soft. Immediately after the wash, I felt my hair was somewhat relieved of the residue build up but definitely not overly squeeky clean as if all moisture was stripped. Another good after feel, the hair remains light and breezy with no heavy weigh down feeling. The next day, my hair remained nice without any visible flyaway. I didnt try the conditioner as I just wanted to see if the shampoo works first.

As I dont use any superficial hair products at all, I am not sure how effective it is against strong holding gel or hair spray.

Verdict
Overall, I love my Shisedo shampoo still but I wasnt too sure what else went into the long list of chemical list. So I think I will alternate between my old and current Alvalon Organics shampoo till I finished the old ones. The only issue i have with this shampoo is that over long term use, my long hair seem to lose its shine. Also, if i forget to use hair treatment, my hair would feel a little dry which is not ideal. Hence i think this product may be better suited for people with fine hair, or just in conjuction with other shampoo to kind of clarify the product buildup [ as it really cleans well]

A sweet surprise..

Had a nice surprise last week. Has been such a long time since I received a mail in my letter box that isnt classified as bills, junk or wedding invite.

A wide grin formed as I opened the (non-ocassion) card and greeted by this lovely message and (timely) magnetic book mark. It's little moments like this that builds up memories for the long haul. I know u are reading this, so thank you Anna for the sweet gesture.

Incidentally, the card also indirectly stir up a feeling that I have been a slacker in staying touch with some old friends back in Sg.... It's no excuse really but stopping work has also effectively reduce the urge to get onto the communications wagon such as msn or email.

Well, heading back to Sg on 24th June for over a week. (damn tickets cost so much nowadays..) Alittle late for my mum's birthday but I really wanna make this trip since its her 60th birthday. Just thought it would be nice to have a complete family to celebrate this milestone with her, that is if my brother dont get haul off on some business trip...

Anycase, the trip will be a well deserved chance to catch up with some old friends, that is if their little ones are not holding them back...(not to mention get my goose down pillow from taka!!!)

Sigh...so tough to meet up with people with kids nowadays. I never knew it would be so tough once someone else's form their own nuclear family. No wonder they say your friends get lesser and lesser when you get older, unless your friendship with married couples (with kids) can last through waiting for the first 5 years of the kids growth till they are more independent... ;p

Some facts about fruits

I love my handy fruits and vege guide to healthy eating...

Since I was young, I have always been intrigued by all the repeated "reminders" by my mum about what food (fruits/ veg) should not be consumed with certain food. I remember my mum used to have this pictorial table format book (lost now) that list all down commonly consumed food that acts "against" each other..

Previously I was too young to understand the logic or reasoning between the "lethal" pairing but now I do. Not all old folks tales are without grounds. Like what I had told my friends before, if the "food" is NOT in a form that is recognisable to your grandma, it's probably bad for you and your body. (eg: all the junk food that have been invented over the last 30 decades or more)

I was just flipping through my newly acquired food guide and found interesting facts below..
Did you know about the "do not" consumption facts about such fruits?

1. Persimmons
Should never be consumed with white wine, warm water, and vege soup as this will result in the manisfestation of "stones" inside your body. The fruit should not be consumed on empty stomach. It should never be consumed with crab meat. People who are suffering from bout of cold and mothers after delivery should also not over consume the fruit.

2. Mangoes
Should not be consumed with garlic or spicy food nor after meals. Additionally, people with constipation should avoid consumption

3. Custard Apples
High in sugar content hence obese and disabetic people should avoid or minimalise consumption.

4. Strawberries
Consumption after meal aids "dissolve" of food fats and aids digestions but people with diarrhea should avoid.

5. Lychees
Excessive consumption will lead to lowering of sugar count thus resulting in giddiness and possible fainting.

6. Papaya
Excessive consumption will result in bloatness (gasy built up) as well as diarrhea side effects.

7. Western pears (green skin)
People with (cold or non heaty) cough should avoid consumption.

8. Watermelon
Diabetics and people with early symptoms of common cold should minimise or avoid consumption.
Watermelon should never be consumed with Pineapple and mangoesteen!

9. Plums
Overconsumption will lead to diarrhea. People with Phlegm (flem) should avoid consumption.

10. Navel Orange
Avoid when suffering from diarrhea

11. Rock Melon / Cantaloupe
People suffering from Weak body, water retention, cough with blood, itchy throat, mild phelgm with could should avoid consumption.

12. Chinese Pear (Yellow skin)
People with diarrhea, cold and cough should avoid. However consumptions after meal do aid digestions.

13. Grapes
Diabetics and people with constipation should minimalise intake. One should rinse your mouth after consumption to avoid erosion of teeth enamel.

14. Mangoesteen
Avoid consumption with watermelon, bitter gourd, mustard, cabbage, soybean and beer. Husk Purple stains cannot be easily removed.

15. Lemon
People with cough, flu with fever should minimise intake. People with phelgm should avoid consumption.

16. Apple
Diabetics should avoid intake due to high sugar content. Rinse mouth to avoid enamel erosion. Excessive consumption will result in bloated feeling.

17. Cherries
People with bad breathe should avoid intake.

Salt for mouth ulcers and corelated food knowledge

I was cracking so hard today, after seeing my husband squirming in agony and tears welling up his eyes. That was after I applied salt directly onto his 2 lip ulcers. My sides were splitting from laughing at his expression.

Firstly, it was a surprise for me that he has never heard of this technique to cure lip ulcers whereas I grew up using this simple method to cure all my crater size ulers. It's less painful if u catch them early but I personally love the stinging sensation because it feels like I am killing those "micro-bastards" .

It's such an old simple and effective method. The antiseptic salt application not only works naturally and "beautifully" effective, not to mention it's a much safer option compared to those "gels" applications which contains chemicals. In fact, they have annouced recently (news) to reconsider or prevent application of bonjela on kids under 16yr as they are considered unsafe.
I would never trust any industrial products on any kids if one can help it...

Wise Diet that helps recovery of lip ulers:
Anyway, according to my vege and fruits encyclopedia, the consumption of tomatoe, brinja/ eggplant, and carrot juice will also aid the recovery of lip ulcers.

Benefits
Eggplants: High in vitamin P (Bioflavonoids ). Regular consumption prevents high blood pressure. Promotes wound healing and maintain the health of the thin walls of the small blood vessels known as capillaries.

Caution:
Carrots: People who are low on sugar count should moderate intake of carrot and over consumption of carrot will result in "yellowing" of your skin colour.

Tomato: Unripe tomatoes (greenish- yellowish looking) should not be consumed as they supposedly contain naturally occuring poisonous alkaloids that disappear (so we are told) as the fruit matures.

Caratenoid Scan

I have survived my first week of pilates and what can I say? I really thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. The complete body workout is amazing. Not to mention my pilates instructor yesterday was a complete hot chick. Slim body lines, lovely long locks, beautiful accent, smart UCLA chick, and angelic face with a beautiful face. Sometimes U have to wonder why some human beings are just unfairly created more perfectly than some others....

Well back to pilates.
She worked us really hard yesterday and I could feel the dulling ache all over my body since those are the body parts that have slacken from lack of use over the last 2 years. From neck muscles to abs to torso side muscles...Yet I felt more refreshed than ever.

After pilates, my friend brought me to do this carotenoid scan yesterday. It's a 2min non invasive test to evaluate how healthy your body is, based on food and excercise and the level of free radical in your body. Not bad. I had a score of 39,000. The excellent score starts from 40,000 so i am a little more to catch up. Average HK person score around 29,000 to 31,000 so I was told. Considering the utter lack of excercise I had subjected myself to for the last 2 years, I think I fare rather well.

My current weight is like 53kg.
To me its a "disgusting" fact because it's almost like adding a kg a year as I ages starting from uni...I missed those days where I can finish a whole tub of icecream with no repercussions...

My husband and I discovered when we were living in Sydney, we put on more weight than when we lived in Asia, even maintaining the same level of lifestyle. When we moved back to Hk, alot of my friends remarked I looked slimmer now. The only reason we could attribute to was the increase diet of pork, lamb and beef because beef was more accessible and cheaper back in Sydney.

When I did the health test, they told me my ideal weight is 57KG for my height. I balked at the idea of being so heavy. While everything else was ideal, I need to lose more fat and gain more muscular mass to achieve that target. Honestly I am just happy to hover around 50kg. We shall see if my excercise regime is going to shed some pounds

Do i need to raise a goose to get some pure down pillow?

Is there absolutely any reason why HK people doesnt sleep on down filled pillow? I have been searching high and low in every mall I can think of in HK, but they either carry sponge, contoured shaped pillow or feather pillows. Not a simple washable 100% down pillow in sight. What will it take for me to find one? Do i have to rear a couple of goose and pluck off the down feathers myself? Damn.
I have always hated feather pillow because of the smell. Sponge is stiff, and somehow my neck combined with my fetal sleeping position makes contoured pillow less than ideal.

I went to Sogo today. Thankfully its quiet after the crazy mob storming the place down during the Thankful week sale. There was one mattress brand that sell 100% Australian down feather pillow but it has to have those ridiculous silk cotton cover, thus rendering it dry clean only. WTF, silk pillow? What happen to good old cotton cover? And they wanted to charge me HK700 bucks for a single pillow. Are they nuts? I could get like 3 freaking 100% down pillow in Singapore at Takashimiya in a sale for that price based on the price tag i last checked in Oct last year. And then another sales person tried to convince me this super firm pillow is made of 100% down. I told her its impossible since its too "bloated" and firm. I know what is a proper down pillow after 15years of sleeping on down pillow. Couldnt be bothered to correct her when I double checked the filling content tag that I was right naturally.

It's such a pain that I have half a mind in taking out my down quilt and fold it as a pillow alternative. Someone ought to tell HK retailers that they are overly absorbed in those stupid spaceman contour pillow that is stock piled on every available rack space.

Hello HK.
We are on earth, not on fucking Mars.

Friends staying over

My girlfriend and her hubby is returning home tomorrow morning. It was really nice having them staying at our place for couple of days. Each time I see Vince, I get to laugh more. He's a good chap. Honest heart and fortunately doesn't overly shy away and keep to himself. Even more fortunately, not at all a smarty mouth. The worse nightmare for me is not liking any good gf's partner because it would be quite dreary to see a detestable companion in any gathering. Luckily for me, that number has been far from few. It is really quite a relief that bunny girl's partner was easy to converse to easily and enjoyable to have them stay over.

I wasnt much of a hostess since there wasnt much places I know to bring a 6months old pregnant mum around as well. I had limited knowledge on where to get nice but non expensive baby wear and stuff...

I was amused when bunny girl told me Vince doesnt like HK much, and this was his first trip ever. The only place he liked was Stanley, which to me was too expaty. In general, he found HK to be too congested, packed and crowded with people, and the roads small and narrow. Kowloon was even more nitemarish for him.

I laughed at the feedback because that was the EXACT reaction I had when I first moved to HK years back. Being used to wide space elsewhere, HK narrow (uneven) walking lanes were something to get use to esp on rainy days where everyone's opened brolly was a potential weapon to poke my face or eyes by inconsiderate human traffic rushing off to hell.

I told Vince it was a matter of adapting and getting used to, and finding little things that u like. Once u stay in a place and get use to it, it really isnt that bad. I am used to living in HK now and I rather enjoy myself. I try to look for the good sides than just complaining about things I cannot change like the bad air quality and higher price tag amongst other things, and lack of decent jogging tracks and public pools. Make do I guess....

On the flip side, I like the transport here compared to Singapore where I am often pretty much distressed or rather frustrated at the time wasted just waiting or paying through my nose for the cabs, or the lack of it at peak hours. I confessed I am spoilt by HK transport (so long i dont deliberately head on a cab to somewhere congested at peak hour.) And I love the market way of life where I get my fresh poultry and live sea produce here in HK, it is a good alternative compared to the frozen/ chilled and worst, unenvironmentally packaged in plastic/ foam food sold in the supermarket. Honestly, I told bunny girl, I wonder how long it will take for me to get use to changes if I move back to Singapore.

Vince was just telling me how Singaporeans are complaining about the supermarkets not giving out plastic bags when I told them HK supermakets no longer issue it unless you ask for it. Even if we started this Go green programme later than HK, but shouldnt Singapore which is often more keen to be booast itself as "Number 1" country push for and adapt to this environmental practice more readily? Going green shouldnt be about "convenient" thing to do. It should be something that is worth the effort to do. Sometimes, I just wonder why is it so hard to convince another person it is the right thing to do, to minimalise waste?

Earlier when we were watching national geographic, Bunny girl revealed they had a huge disagreement discussion about not serving shark fin in the menu for their wedding last year. I supported bunny girl of course since we both support non consumption of non ethically fished sharks. She had asked the hotel if the source was from farmed sharks but she was told prob not. So both of us started to "remind" Vince how cruel it was to just slay off the fin and leave the shark to struggle to die in waters, not to mention how rampant overfishing will destroy the marine balance...and hence eventually the ocean and then earth. Well, we know who won the day since there was no fin served during the wedding reception.

I guess animal conservation esp shark and whale is still somewhat an abstract concept that not many people concur with, esp Asians brought up with eating shark fin. I suppose, Singaporeans with generations of population brought up purely in a city surrounding, with no exposure to natural habitat to admire, with very very minimal education and knowledge about animal kingdom and marine life would probably find it harder to support animal conservation.. They just eat whatever was fed to them from their parents.

While we (and our ancestors) didnt know better then, yet we do now. Plus Fishing techniques were less sophisticated then and quantities were much less damaging then but now we fish by thousands and million tons. We are well informed now, educated and caught in the chain of it all Now. Hence, it is and will be irresponsible to claim or feign ignorance, and continuing partaking in the wrong culinary practices, esp where their shark fins in itself have NO TASTE and neither a natural form of a staple diet.

Alright, I'm going off track ranting into thin air again. Must be the hour at 2am.
Ahhh..it's gonna be a quiet household again after the couple return home. Not before I cheekily asked bunny girl to relay my regards to her dad aka my driving instructor, as to who has he been peeking at the toilet to get his red sore eyes:)
