Zettai Kareshi 10 Summary (Part1)

Yeah!!!! The new video is out! Thanks to Jude's release "alert", i went to search for it and found the latest release from last night! However, with all the heavy traffic to that video, the loading is extremely slow and I could only watch bits and pieces of it. So here is the first 15mins update and check back later for the rest!

After hearing Rikko's love confession to Soshi, Night sadly walked off alone by himself. Unknown to him, his body temperature was dangerously climbing! Gaku who was in the lab was alarmed by the warning alarm and rushed off in search of Night.

While walking home by herself, Rikko chanced upon the lady bar owner on the streets. She revealed that she had lost the competition, but it was not a pity as she had accumulated alot of experience from it. The bar owner discovered Night wasnt around with Rikko, to which Rikko explained she didnt know when and where he had gone off to either after the competition. After much mulling to herself, Rikko decided to seek the Bar owner's advice on the earlier incident with Soshi.

Meanwhile, Gaku managed to locate Night. While checking, Gaku discovered with shock that all the robotic body parts were overheating. Gaku realised with the emotional function taking roots, the robotic systems were showing signs of malfunctioning. However, when Night asked Gaku what had happened, Gaku concealed the truth and cheefully told Night that it was only a mild fever and everything will be fine once he changed and increase the cooling parts for Night tomorrow.

Back in the bar, the bar owner was delighted when she learnt about the love confession between Soshi and Rikko. However sensing something was amissed, she asked Rikko why didnt she look happy? Rikko denied being unhappy. However, she confessed that even though she was very happy, yet she thought that something didnt feel quite right. The bar owner asked if it was because of Night to a surprised Rikko. The bar owner firmly added that " Night is not a good option. Didnt you said before that you had wanted to fall in love normally, be married normally? (Falling in love) With a robot, nothing will be normal." Rikko gently smiled and said "Of course I know that." before staring distantly away.

Meanwhile, Night confided to Gaku that Rikko had confessed liking Soshi. Gaku comforted Night stating it must have been unbearable for Night. Night said he definitely didnt want to lose to Soshi as he truly love Rikko. Hearing that, Gaku encouraged Night saying that Rikko will definitely feel your affections.


In his father's office, Soshi informed that he had lost the competition. His father said that it was a pity but yet why did Soshi still look so happy despite not qualifying?? A surprised Soshi said it wasnt so with a smile. When asked about his future plans, Soshi replied he will slowly think about it. Upon that, his father goodnaturedly but doubtfully reminded Soshi .... "But you had never been one to plan ahead?!" To that, Soshi chuckled and nod in silent agreement.


Back at home, Rikko waited for Night to return, only to be disappointed that it was her landlady. However her disappointment was quickly replaced with keen excitement when she saw the food landlady had brought over. To Rikko's relief, Night returned in time to prevent the retraction of food offer. When the landlady realised that Rikko was unable to pay teh full rent, and Rikko stating that Night would do anything, the landlady grabbed the chance to solicit a "kiss from Night" would settle it!! Just as Night was going to obediently oblige, Rikko held Night back. Instead, she tricked the eagerly anticipating landlady (with eyes closed) using the food as Night's lips instead (while Night was saying here's comes my big fat kiss! haa haa)

After sending the landlady away, Night apologised for his late return after Rikko said she had been worried. Night said it was a pity about the loss but Rikko said it was ok. Night then comforted Rikko that he would work triply hard to earn more money for the month. In turn, Rikko reminded him not to damage his body from overworking as maintenance fee would also be very expensive. Night thanked Rikko instead for being so thoughtful (for showing concern for him).

In the lab, Gaku's "secret" was finally exposed and confronted by his manager. Despite his apology, his manager stated Night's IC chip had to be retrieved and changed. Gaku was shocked and desperately stated that it wouldnt be the same zero one anymore! Despite his protests, he was taken off his role and redelegated to another department!

The next day, an unsuspecting Rikko was told she would be terminated by end of the month! When Night learnt that, he decided to quit as well. Rikko refused as that would be lesser household income. As the bar owner was not able to increase Rikko's shift work at the bar, Night assured Rikko that he would work double hard to provide for Rikko. The landlady looked at the scene with increasing unease and mixed feelings. Just as both of the were leaving, they bumped into a returning Soshi. While Soshi was all natural, a surprised Rikko panicked and frantically said her good night and left hurridly.Night looked on at Soshi, but said nothing and left.

After learning about Rikko's plight from the bar owner, Soshi rushed over and confronted his brother's decision to fire Rikko. His brother coolly told him that the matter was of no concern to Soshi. As Soshi criticised his brother being like his grandfather, his brother retorted that Soshi was in no position to judge his decision, as Soshi was the one who abandoned Asamoto company. Just then, Soshi's mobile rang and his brother politely told him he was busy and aske Soshi to leave the office.

At home, Rikko and Night were earning extra income with flower arrangements. She started to fret about her impending loss of job,and Night continued to comfort her. Night used the flower's representation to express his love again and Rikko asked happily about the flower in her hand in which Night replied "It means Poor but elegant." Rikko was totally deflated :P

Night said it was enjoyable but Rikko misunderstood Night's reference and said but its only 5cents per stalk! Night however explained that he meant it was enjoyable to be able to accumulate memories of Rikko bit by bit through these. Rikko was speechless and deflected the topic asking Night to fetch her something. In teh process, Night stumbled and fell! A worried Rikko realised Night was running a fever before Night completely fell down unconcious this time!

The next morning, Rikko was relieved that Night's fever had subsided. Night assured all is well as Gaku was aware of it and will replace the cooling parts. Relieved, Rikko left for work. Unknown to her, Night's temperature rose and went unstable again after she left!

In the office lobby as Rikko was heading to work, Soshi caught up with Rikko and he had big news for her! They were also to go to Paris afterall as another team had withdrawn! Apparently the French patisserie chef who had spoken to Rikko previously during the qualification round had recommended her as the replacement team. As well, he had called Soshi indicating his wish that Rikko with her talent, would learn being a patisserie in Paris. When Rikko realised it will take 3 years to be full fledged Patisserie, she was taken back.

Sensing her hesitance, Soushi asked if it was due to Night which Rikko denied. With that, Soshi firmly told Rikko to go Paris with him! Soshi told her that he had also been invited to Paris. Rikko was speechless. Soshi then told her they had to focus on the competition and to leave in 3 days. Before walking off, Soshi told Rikko solemnly that it was a great opportunity for her. When Soshi left, Night who had been standing from afar (to give Rikko her bento lunch) called out to Rikko and asked what happened to Soshi which Rikko replied nothing.

In the lab, Gaku realised that the system password had been changed. His assistant entered his cell and Gaku requested him to change Night's cooling parts. To his dismay, his assistance told him it was pointless as Zero One will be scraped. While Gaku understood why his assistant "betrayed" him, he also explained that Rikko and Night are now emotionally bonded and shouldnt be seperated as they (Kronos) had no right to strip Night of his evolved emotions. Unfortunately his assistant maintained the idea that it was better with the scrap and took leave.

When Rikko returned later that eve, she found the 2 kronos staff waiting for her. They apologised for Night's recent breakdown and Rikko thought they had referred to his recent fever attacks. They warned Rikko that the persistent fever if left neglected, could result in complete cessation of Night. However, with the repair, the problem would be fixed but a chance that Night's memories will disappear. A worried Rikko asked what would happened if it did happen. The staff tried to assure Rikko that they would give her an identical new robot. Rikko rejected the offer as she explained Night cherished his memories extremely. The Kronos staff pretended to leave after emphasising that Nigth would probably stop functioning and Rikko immediately asked them to wait and she would think about it.

During dinner, Rikko accidentally touch Night's hand and was shocked that it was hot! She got increasingly worried about his returned fever but Night reassured her all was well. That night, Rikko stared at the Kronos repair agreement, remaining undecided...

After their great hit (Apologise) featured prominently by Timbaland's release in 2007 (note: Timbaland didnt write the song), they caught my attention.

I liked this new 2008 release from "One Republic" band - "Say (All I need)" (dwnld). Some say it was officially released in Australia in March but I didnt hear it till recently. Eitherway, it is still relatively new. It's a typical rock band essence, infused with a little dreaminess...

Check this great track out for yourself. This is their official MTV release. Now quick, go buy their latest debut album! The next song which is really nice is "Stop and Stare". Another great track!

Crude Awakening...

Was watching the news last night and now companies are expanding into digging oil from oil sand. It used to be an expensive process at about $40-50 per barrel but now, it is seen as dirt cheap. Yet, to get to these crude oil, they are destroying acres of pristine green forests at the amazon basin unremorsely and at a rate quicker than you can blink. The interviewer was asking one staff from the Shell complany (i think it is shell), if the new exploration was destroying nature last few spots of forest and the guy was saying that the company is always playing its part in "rehabilitation". Yet when the reporter asked if it wasnt shameful that in the past 20 years, while we have destroyed thousand over arces of forest, we have only rehabiliated 1 square km. The guy unbashfully said "No he doesnt think it is shameful." I was mortified. I was even sadder when the helicopter flew over the scene to see tractors bulldozing through and leaving what use to be a huge greenland, to now become a sand dune scene full of vehicles.

At our greed and unrelenting need for oil, we are destroying the delicate balance of this earth as fast that there probably wont be any natural forest left. Estimates of the extent and rate of loss vary, but it appears that nearly half of the world's tropical forests already have been lost, and the remainder will all but disappear in the next two to three decades. The loss is incalculable. While the crude oil company "joyfully" shared that these oil from the sand oil could last us for another 100 years or so (i cannot remeber the exact figure they said on TV but it was suppose to be very long and in huge quanity), I shook my head and told my husband sadly "So what? The earth probably wont LAST that long anyway for us to enjoy all those crude oil."

Going Green.

After a year of active recycling, I found it truly unacceptable that on one hand many Australians are talking about going green, yet they offend me by wasting so much plastic bags during grocery shopping. I found it so hypocritical, where the notion is greater than action. Yes, I find those small transparent plastic bags truly offensive and an utter waste.

You see, in Harris Farm supermarket, they station these rolls of plastic bags for people to put their fruits in. However I fail to see the need for such a practice and it totally defy the idea of going Green. Why do you need a small plastic bag to put those apples and oranges, when you can just put them in the trolley directly? The only reason i can think of is that it is "convenient" to the shopper and that they are just pure lazy. Rather than having to bend over the trolley a few times to pick up the fruits, they would rather just do it once to grab the multiple plastic bags. Imagine a person using 5 plastic bags alone. In a day, at least 200 people go through one harris Supermarket, and in a month, imagine how much plastic waste is being generated! And I am only talking about one supermarket, not including Woolies, Coles and many others. I just wish they would get rid of those small perforated plastic bags.

Apart from cherries and grapes where they will fall apart or go through the trolley holes, I have constantly refuse to use those plastic bags. Even with carrots and mushrooms, my option was always to use the paper bag because I can recycle those several times and in the paper recyle bin. Mor eever, using paper bag to store the perishables and veges actually keep them fresher than using a plastic bag as it traps the condensed waterdroplets within the bag, increasing the rate of decompsition of the produce even in the fridge. I missed those old days where stall owners used to wrapped those veges with newspaper. I think our ancestors were greener people than we are.

I read the other day that Singaporeans were complaining about the new campaign of "no plastic bag" on a wednesday (or was it tuesday). Is it really that difficult to change our practice? I wish people who just stop whining and bitching and do their bit. I am not sure how the Singapore supermarket carried out its recent campaign, as in like in HK and Sydney, instead of plastic bags, the cashier had cloth grocery bags on sale to assist shoppers with the switch. If HK can do it so well, how is it so hard for Singaporeans to embrace this cultural change? I think the supermarket should just go all out and maintain its stand so that people will gradually get the hang of it and stop resisting to it thinking it is only a momentarily "fad'.

It's amazing how much one can recycle. On average, I threw out 2 boxes of papers aweek and a box of plastics from shampoo bottles to milk bottles fornightly. I like to think i had done my part and it is always so satisfying as I empty into the recyle bin. perhaps it is my wishful thinking, but I do wish everyone would truly "Act" green, than just "think" green.

Time to move...leaving Sydney

It's the time of the year again. A year in Sydney has ended and it's time for me to move again. The rental lease is up by end june and so its busy offloading the accumulated junk and repacking all over again. To think that it felt as if I had only just unpacked....with all the travelling to Budapest and other places, it didnt feel like I had been in Sydney for very long.



During dinner the other night, YX asked Stan and I how did we find Sydney to date. While we liked the fresh produce and beautiful scenic views, we both found it to be an extremely expensive city to live in, and that working people are generally lazy. To that, James and YX nod in complete agreement. It is very difficult to get Ozzie to work beyond 5pm. It is almost sacrilegious to expect them to work overtime or slightly beyond their working hours (even with overtime pay). James commented that most people who would be working overtime would be the Chinese or the Indians. Unless it is a bar work or some special professions, most Australian caucasians would be packed up by 4.45pm and leave n the dot. They value their after hours time too much. However because the Australia economy is doing so well, most people do not seem to see the need to work so hard. Of course it is not meant to be a sweeping statement that everyone is so, but the general mentality is unfortunately not something to be proud of coming from an asian viewpoint.

Just recently, my Hk excolleague's husband was posted to Sydney for a month to peform some training to the local staff. He works for a prestigious finanical house. Yet he was frustrated as the attitude was somewhat "too laid back'. He complained that people doesnt come on time, and yet expect to leave early or on the dot, not caring if they actually complete learnin what he was handing over within the timeline. Being his responsibility, he wanted to propose the staff to return on the last sat and sunday to complete the training so that he could return to Hk on time to perform other duties. I laughed and told him it's impossible. Expecting them to return on weekend is harder than expecting himself to win lotto. The probability of him striking rich is much higher than the chances of them agreeing to return. Of course I was proven right. Even as I relate the story to james and the rest, before I even shared the outcome, James as an australian himself said outright "No freaking way they will ever come back on sat to finish the work."



THAT is the australian culture for you, which to many developed asian countries, is a bane. Of course, one has to realise that there is no right or wrong. It is just a different culture and one adapt to it when you live here. However, the fact that I know I can never withstand such mentality, it will be a choice of leaving Australia or never to work so that I do not aggravate myself to death. I think I would choose to leave. Afterall, there is no life after 6pm in this city unlike Asia and especially that I do not booze, there really is not much to do. I am yet to be that old to be able to enjoy such a spartan lifestyle.

Anycase, it will be a busy period with packing, as well as planning our next move and long holiday. So much to do, again, so little time.....

Zettai Kareshi 09 Review (Part 2)

When the bar closed for the day, Soshi apologised to the lady bar owner about having to witness his silbing dispute earlier. She told Soshi that it was difficult to sustain such a small business like hers, she can imagine how much more difficult and stressful it must be for his brother. Sensing Soshi's silence, she deftly changed the topic to the competition. Soshi mentioned that while he may not know the preliminary results, however, he can confidently say that Rikko's desserts are truly delicious. Upon hearing that, the lady boss smiled and told him she will support them and encourage them to work hard.

The following week, Rikko paced worriedly at the office lobby while waiting for Soshi to deliver the results. When Soshi arrived, he paused while looking at Rikko, before slowly "comforting" Rikko that she had done well. Judging from his words and tone, Rikko assumed that she had not qualified for the preliminary for the competition. As a downcast Rikko seemed resigned to the results, Soshi said goodbye as he slowly turned his back to them. As Soshi pretended to leave, Rikko spotted an envelope on his back, with Soshi pointing to it. Apparently he had played a prank on her and that they had actually made it!

During the celebration at the bar, Natsumi dropped by to offer her congraulations. She told a surprised Rikko that indeed she had talent as she had never seen Soshi to be so dedicated to a task before. While Rikko looked slightly embarrassed, the ladyboss smiled knowingly at this piece of news. Natsumi then whipped out 4 tickets and invited everyone to the park and have fun together.

At the aquarium, Night saw Natsumi crossing arms with Soshi while walking ahead of them. he grabbed Rikko's arm and declared that they should likewise do the same with Rikko complaining along the way that he is holding his arm too high! Natsumi and Soshi turned around and smiled at the both of them.

Throughout the Dolphin show, Soshi looked on at a happy Rikko tenderly and smiled to himself.

After the dolphin show and the girls away to the washroom, Soshi told Night that he could really be quite unbashful about saying all those things such as love. Night replied that when you love someone, it is only natural that you should let the other party know the love and affection one has for her. Soshi smiled at the "revelation". Night asked in turn hasnt Soshi ever told Natsumi that he loved her to which Soshi laughed and said it was impossible to say such things. Night seriously advised him that it was better for Soshi to seriously tell Natsumi about his feelings. Night shared that he was happy to be able to see Rikko laughed so happily each time and that he wished he could protect Rikko's happiness forever. Rikko's smiling face will be in turn Night's happiness. Soshi pondered over those words after hearing them.

While walking Natsumi home, she asked Soshi if he would join her in Paris if she won the competition as she felt they would make a great team. Soshi was left speechless.

At the bar, Night presented Rikko with a patisserie chef top as a present for competition qualification. Rikko was over the moon as she looked at the top. Night apologised that it wasnt a new piece but he had redesigned and resewn some parts, but Rikko was nevertheless happy and exclaim that Night was indeed an "absolute boyfriend'! Night told her it was because he loved her and Rikko replied that she would work hard for him. The lady bar owner looked on at the conversations with mixed feelings.

At the same time in the lab, Gaku was questioning if it was such a bad thing for Night to have feelings. His assistant exclaimed of course it was a problem since Night is just a robot. An exasperated Gaku explained that his program is now out of his control and developing self awareness and living on based on his own will, so wont the process of stripping his emotions be the same as stripping his life?

While Rikko was at the competition, the lady bar owner initiated a meeting with Gaku. She revealed that she knew the truth about Night. She asked him for the reasons of developing a love robot. Gaku replied that a love robot would not betray nor cheat on the woman, and would save a broken heart. The bar owner angrily told Gaku not to treat human emotions as a game.

At the compeitition, Natsumi won the round with her unique chocolate and pepper creation. When Soshi's brother congraulated Natsumi on her win, she let on that it would not have been possible if it wasnt Soshi's idea on the cayen pepper. Soshi's brother was taken back by the news. A french chef approached Soshi and told him that he had met with his grandfather several occassions and that Rikko's dessert reminded him of Soshi's grandfather's flavour. With that, the french chef shook Rikko hands and complimented that she would have a great future ahead.

When Soshi congraulated Natsumi and brought up the Paris offer, Natsumi cut him off and told him that she felt it would be better if she went alone afterall.To a surprised Soshi, Natsumi further explained that she knew she had missed her opportunity in love (with him) 3 years ago, but that he should not now.

Soshi went to look for Rikko and offered his condolences to her for not qualifying. However, Rikko felt it was alright. Despite being a pity to have lost, but it had been a fruitful and happy experience to be able to do something that one loves and that there is always a next time. As Soshi thanked her, Rikko thanked him as well and expressed that it had been a joy to be able to work with him.

With that, Soshi took a bold step forward and confessed to Rikko that he liked her! Surprised at the confession, Rikko braved up her courage and expressed that she had also like Soshi all these while, surprising both Soshi and Night who was coming to join her.



With Rikko's unexpected confessions, Night clutched on to his heart, feeling a sudden peculiar sensation...

Zettai Kareshi 09 Review (Part 1)

Soshi's explained to his father his resignation reasons. Despite the fact that he could have entered the competition independently without having to resign, yet Soshi felt that he wanted to stop relying on the company but to compete with his (and Rikko's) own strength. Soshi's brother lamented that he was just being wilful but Soshi retorted that it was his brother who had said that Asamoto didnt need him (soshi). His brother commented that to selfishly abandon his post in the companyt, Soshi was just being irresponsible. Soshi replied to both his father and brother that no matter what, he had no intention to remain in the current Asamoto. After he left, his brother told the father that it may be a good chance for Soshi to become more mature while the father pass the resignation letter and told him to keep it for the time being.

When the office was speculating the cause of Soshi's departure, Night entered the room stating that the reason was due to entering the competition with Rikko much to everyone's shock.

Back in the lab, Gaku's lab assistant noticed that the interval between charging time has shorten for Night. Gaku happily assumed it was due to the fight with Zero02 and will arranged for a change. When his assistant questioned when will the altered data to their manager stop, Gaku apparently had no intention of revealing the truth to his superiors.

When tasting the new dessert creation, Natsumi commented that it was lacking something but Soshi's brother felt that nothing was amissed, and it was fine to be entered as it is.

Meanwhile during dinner, Rikko and Night were surprised to see Soshi working as a waiter at the usual bar place. Rikko asked the lady boss if it was really ok to employ so many staff. The bar owner smiled and said that thanks to Soshi, business has actually increased (due to the increased female patronage)! Soshi told Rikko that fortunately that he had the job or he would have nowhere to go after leaving home. Rikko was surprised that Soshi moved out from home. However Soshi said "it's for independence". Night who was by the side exclaimed "Isnt it kind of late (old) to be independent now?" Meanwhile, Gaku stepped in through the door looking for Night. He was plesantly surprised to be welcomed by the 3 boys and he laughed stating that it was a gathering of good looking guys!

Gaku excused himself with Night to service the battery problem. Night apologised to Gaku for always being so problematic but Gaku told him such issues only serves as evidence that Night was working hard for Rikko. Night agreed and that he only wanted Rikko to be happy forever.
Meanwhile, acting on her suspicions, the bar owner followed Gaku and Night to the carpark and witnessed the process and overheard their conversation!

When the lady boss returned to the bar and saw Soshi working with Rikko, she couldnt help but comment that both seems to share a good relationship which Rikko stuttered and denied. Soshi laughed and said "You made it sound like we have very bad relationship!" After finding an excuse to send Soshi away, the lady boss asked Rikko if she like such a nice guy like soshi. Rikko denied and claimed that Soshi already has a girlfriend (refering to Natsumi). At that, the bar owner sighed and reminded Rikko that under no circumstances should Rikko ever fall for a robot. After Rikko and Night left, the bar owner tried to sound out Soshi's feeling and asked if he was envious of Night and Rikko's relationship but Soshi unconvincingly denied so.

Back at Rikko's home, Soshi was impressed with Rikko's dessert to her relief. Night proclaimed that Rikko would definitely win but Soshi said it would not be that easy. Night angrily slammed the table stating that Rikko would defintely win! A shocked Soshi hurriedly explained that he didnt mean it would be impossible.

Just then, the landlady who had been spying on Soshi from outside all these while decided to enter Rikko's house and interrupted asking "who this handsome boy is" (refering to Soshi). The landlady asked Soshi "What is your hobby?" To which Rikko said "This isnt a matching making session!" When the landlady learnt with dismay that Tokishi had left (travelling), Night comforted her to keep her spirit up and that time would heal all wounds. The mesmerised landlady stared at Night stating that he is the kindest afterall!

After being motivated by Night, the landlady started to turn her attention back on Soshi, attempting to feed her with her cookie. Rikko quickly interrupted asking if she had "forgotten" about Tokishi, to which the landlady replied that she preferred the "new" target (soshi) and had forgotten the old! Soshi desperately tried to defuse the attention by offering Rikko's dessert creation to the landlady instead who exclaimed it was delicious to everyone's delight.

After she had left, Rikko commented on the landlady "wavering" affections. Night at once declared he will be Rikko's only boyfriend. Soshi who was leaving, remarked that they had such good relationship. Rikko tried to deny but Night firmly stated that Rikko was very important to him. Soshi left the couple and closed the door with mixed emotions.

The next day, Natsumi bumped into Soshi and asked him to try her creation. While it was delicious, Soshi suggested to a delighted Natsumi to add cayen pepper to enhance the taste. Natsumi said to a surprised Soshi: "As a repayment to the idea, let's go on a date." Sensing his surprised, Natsumi quickly added "Rikko would be a better choice afterall." Soshi quickly denied stating that he was only interested in Rikko's baking skills, to which Natsumi complimented on Rikko's skills as well.

Outside the office, Night spotted a departing Mikka and sat her down to have a chat. He asked if his disrespectful behaviour had been the cause of her resignation but Mikka denied. Instead, she said she was tired of everything and was starting to dislike herself. Regardless of all the nasty things, Rikko had continued to work towards her dream and never once repriminded mikka. Before she left, Mikka told Night that she could now start to understand a little why Night had chosen Rikko over her.

At nighttime, Soshi was surprised by the sudden appearance of his brother with Natsumi at the bar. Soshi commented that he shouldnt be here at a bar if he had wanted tea instead of a beer, but his brother retorted that it was not his idea to come. Sensing a potential verbal fight, Night interrupted and said "both Ma-kun (nickname) and Soshi should try to get along together!" Both brothers retorted together "It's none of your business!" When Soshi and his brother denied further in unison, Night remarked they are both indeed brothers and are indeed very welll synchronised (in thoughts and actions).

During the short heart to heart chat, Soshi's brother took a dig at Soshi's decision to leave which ended up waitering in a bar. However Soshi explained that what he wanted is to work in an environment where he could interact with people. Unlike in Asamoto, his brother was only facing media and marketing but not the customers themselves. Soshi explained that he just wanted to make a dessert that would invite a heartfelt smile (delight) and a lasting impression of the dessert on its customers. Despite hearing that, his brother told Soshi that he still didnt have to resign, rather Soshi was only escaping from reality. Meanwhile, Soshi's ex-boss came to the bar with intention to gloat at Soshi (who use to be his boss), only to be dumbfounded to find both brothers grouchily before him! When Soshi's brother stomped off after failing to reach an understanding with Soshi, Natsumi apologised for being too meddlesome but Soshi assured her it was alright before plunging himself back to work...

Night out with friends

Hell it was dead cold last night in Sydney. My hands were frozen to bit and when I finally met up with Stan, the first thing we both said "Fk it's cold tonight!" and started laughing.

Since we didnt book any place for dinner, the four of us ended up at darling harbour and being 7.30pm, it was virtually impossible to get a seat in places to eat (in the "better" ones). I honestly think this stretch is a tourist rip off place but I figure its too late to try to find somewhere decent in the city itself on a sat night. So we settled in at Aria whose service even at the entrance was already deserving of a Gordon Ramsay "fking" speech. The waiter saw us at the entrance and just walk off. I would have walked off and not patronise the restaurant given such a lousy service attitude but since YX wanted to eat pasta, we all relunctantly went along, not before James and I started bitching abt it.

As expected, it was overpirced and it wasnt even good. When YX said "I think i will have the duck", James and I went "How did pasta ended up as a duck!" and teased for for a good minute. Food was bad but at least company was great. So anyone thinking about it, scram fast and do not bother.

YX just returned from Shanghai from her 3 weeks break and we talked about the earthquake in her country. While we all agreed it was unfortunate event. we all concluded the the victims of the quake were "better off" in the care of their government, compare to the poor people in Burma who were asked to "eat frogs" by their military leaders.

It was a night of interesting conversation as we talk about how the country responses to foreign aid were, how general public react to it. James told us that when Tsunami first struck, many of his peers wanted to fly over to help but was told to hold back. While everyone wants to help, people have to realise that having more general people there will only be a hindrance, because they are actually using up precious water and food supplies meant for the victims. Even the doctors were asked not to rush in immediately as without equipment as amputations cannot be done without proper painkillers and consideration to the patient's wounds, and without medical supplies on scene, even a doctor cannot do much. So they were told to form a team of 4 and wait till all the medical equip were sent on site before flying over to help. However, there was one doctor he knew of who didnt obey and flew there on his own accord, so that he can be the first to be posing on the news to say he was "helping" when in truth, there was nothing he could do alone there without a team nor batt pack equip to assist him. In the end, it was all abt personal glorification of his "humanity work".

In china, YX shared that alot of her local friends had also wanted to help and they went to sign up their names. However, the aid relief worker told them politely "Unless you are a doctor, or a phyciatrist equip to deal with children, then we wont need you."

Any unnecessary presence will only hinder the aid operation and become a liability. I was sharing that I read about 4 Brits in HK, complaining about their visa not being approved because they wanted to help. However the main question was: If you cannot speak the language, you are not a medical team, you do not have any sort of useful drilling equipment with you, what can a team of 4 do? China has tons of soldiers, so human labour is the last thing they need. People have to realise that wanting to help in a disaster situation and being an actual help is 2 different matter. When foreign aids come in, the host nation has an added responsibility to look after these people, when such resources can be better channeled to the victims. However, we all came to a conclusion, don't donate money, donate goods. Well, even though we know good can be stolen and be sold to black market, but the chances of that is lower than someone running away with the money.

It was just the other day we read about a china branch of bank staff missapproperiating the quake donation funds to buy branded goods for their staff and was discovered by the auditors. James was saying they ought to be shot, because that was effectively stealing from the victims. Apparently when Hurricane Katherina in state strike, looters were warned and soldiers were told to shoot on sight if anyone persisted. In those situations, one simply does not have time nor resources to haul these people to courts. Well I cannot verify the truth of this news bit but I wouldnt be surprised.

There were further sharing of other disasters stories where James's uncle, who was also a doctor had experience in a few decades ago. The conversation went on from talk about dead flesh eating maggots preventing infections on open wounds, and slowly somehow along the way, we moved to horror stories and movies. We laughed our head off when he shared that one of his mates after watching a midnight session of "the ring" (the japanese version), went home and plugged out his TV and put it in the car boot. It was hilarious! James asked him "What if the woman started crawling out of the TV while you are driving" and that absolutely freaked his friend out!!!

We moved on to Lindt cafe and then to Equilibrium bar for a quick drink. The drinks were awlful there. I have never tasted such diluted cocktails ever in my life! YX and I started talking about the drinking places in Shanghai and laughing about "Seven" where they try to confuse patrons with the toilet doors and the "password" needed for entry. It was gimmicky, but at least it leaves a lasting impression for sure!

Strangely, YX actually got tipsy after 3 glasses of "cocktails" which we labelled as "juice with a dash of vodka", so we all decided to pack up and leave. It wasnt really a great place anycase. My first and probably last drink in Sydney. Drinks suck, but hey, at least everyone had a great time tonight.

Last Friends Episode 10 Review

I kind of expect the ending, so nothing was unexpected in this ep I guess. Anyone following this series would probably have seen these events coming....

Towards the end, I havent quite figured out if Sousuke was feeling sorry about what he did physically (read recap below), feeling sorry that he destroyed Michiru's happiness with her friends, feeling sorry that he will never win Michiru's heart or feeling sorry for himself that he would never have such happiness and friendship bonding that Michiru had. Hence in the recap, I was struggling for a right adjective to describe his mood but I think no single word would have been sufficient to describe the magnitude of his emotional complexities then. Suddenly, I felt a little sorry for him even though I despise his cowardly physical violence for everything. A person like him so caught up in his own insecurity and darkness will forever be alone. I think that is kinda sad....

Last Friends: Ep 10 Recap

Continuing from last episode, Sousuke was bashing Ruka up after her love confession for Michiru. As he started to rip off her shirt and kissing her ear as a sign of male/physical dominance, Ruka reached out for the table lamp stand and bashed it on Sousuke's back in order to break free. She frantically ran to the nearest mall to get a new shirt and cried helplessly as she changed. When she went home, she lied to Michiru that the facial wounds were caused by her fall from her bike but Takeru had his suspicions.

While having dinner, everyone in the house was jumpy when the doorbell rang thinking it might be Sousuke coming to wreak havoc again. Michiru apologised and said that it was better for her to move out so that the rest need not live in fear due to her (sousuke indirectly). Ruka rejected her idea stating that Sousuke would hunt Michiru down no matter where she went.

Meanwhile, Sousuke went back to the park to check on the little boy. He was surprised that the boy's mother returned home but was happy that the little boy would no longer feel alone. Before he left, he told the little boy that he would work hard to get back someone important to him.

Eri accidentally found an article discussing about Ruka's Gender disorder and brought it home to show it to Takeru. Ruka came home just then and told Erin again the article was all lies before returning to her room (and ripped the magazine apart). Takeru went to Ruka's room and started asking Ruka if she wasnt going to talk to Michiru. Takeru asked : "Is it ok not to let Michiru know? Abt your "issue" and "feelings, about how Ruka thinks all these while...and actually, what you truly would like Michiru to understand about yourself."

However, Ruka sadly said that of all people, Michiru is the one person who should never know the truth as they have been friends since high school and they had so many good memories together. She had thought that they would never meet again after Michiru disappeared before graduation, and thought she was dreaming when they met again. Ruka was afriad as she knew Michiru only saw her as a normal friend whereas her own intention was never so pure from the start. Ruka did not want the truth to hurt Michiru nor taint the "innocent" memories (described as snowy white memories).

Unfortunately to Ruka's dismay, Michiru heard the whole conversation and dashed out of the house in shock. The next day, Michiru decided to pack up and leave sharehouse (for her mum's place). Takeru tried to dissuade her. Despite Takeru's sharing that Ruka treasured her alot, and asking if she couldnt accept Ruka's feelings? However, Michiru said she was at loss and didnt know how to face Ruka as she knew she could never return Ruka's affections. Sadly, it was Ruka's turn to overhear their conversation. (Side track: Doesnt people in this house ever learn that people can hear you talking from behind the door?)

While everything was happening, Ruka's dad read the article on Ruka and being disturbed, he went to visit her at the bike course on the pretext of missing her. During the drink together, after Ruka thanked him for his support all these years, her father finally asked her if there was something she wanted to tell him. Ruka finally confided the "gender disorder" truth to her father, that she could never fall for a man nor be married, to be happy in the manner that he had envisioned for her. To her relief, her father told her no matter what, he will support her.

After they parted, Takeru chanced upon her dad in the park. Ruka's father started reminiscing about Ruka's tomboyish childhood and disdain for skirts. He finally cried (after the facts sinked in that Ruka would never be the sort of female daughter he once thought he had and he will miss his cute daughter.)
(sidetrack: its always really hard for any typical parents to have to confront the truth initially i think)

The next morning, Erin saw Sousuke sitting in the park and in frustration, she chastised him for his stalking behaviour, his intentions to cause fear. Erin told Sousuke to be a man and learned to step back or Michiru will only distance herself further if he continues to pester her. Erin stomped off for work. her words were not intended solely for Sousuke alone. Sousuke thought over the words and made a decision.

Sousuke called Michiru and told her that he had packed her remaining clothes. He told her to returned her sparekey to his place and picked up her belongings as erin had told him to "take a step back". While Sousuke was preparing coffee, Michiru spied the good luck charm she had given to Ruka lying on the floor! She confronted him if Ruka was ever at his place and he admitted. He asked Michiru if she now know the real truth about Ruka's feeling.

Michiru pressed Sousuke on what Ruka had said and he had done to her after recalling the wound on her face previously. Sousuke repeated Ruka's confession to a crying Michiru who started to have flashbacks about those moments ruka had supported her. Memories of Takeru telling her that Ruka is now "protecting Michiru with her whole life at stake" came flooding back. Michiru suddenly felt the gushing waves of emotions as she memeories of all the sacrficies that Ruka had done for her overwhelm her. Sousuke continued to mock Ruka that "the fact she was afterall a girl". Shock to hear those words, Michiru fearfully demanded to know what Sousuke had done. Sousuke told her that "everything was easier once one pin her down" Michiru insisted on knowing what else had Sousuke done and he merely calmly told her "Nothing... except to deflate her ego alittle.." In anger, Michiru walked up and slapped Sousuke and started to leave. Sousuke grabbed and stopped her from leaving. Michiru asked wasnt what he had intended for her to leave, Sousuke said he was only "stepping back" to trick her to come back and told her he lied again about letting her go. He started to bash her again, before finally raping her this time! (A scream, a black screen, and 2 crying adults later....)

A despondent naked (covered in sheets) Michiru lay "lifelessly" on the bed promised to stay on and let him "have his ways" whenever he desired, but only if Sousuke promised never to hurt any of her friends, esp Ruka and Takeru. Sousuke got up and sat next to her, asking her why was she crying. her silence only brought more tears and frustration to him. He left her alone in the room and walked out to the living room, not before sliding all the doors closed.

Anguished and feeling alone ( I'm not sure if he felt guilty about what he did), he chanced upon Michiru's happy photos at sharehouse with the rest of her friends. Sousuke cried harder to himself and feeling of darkness engulfed him....

Next morning, an seemingly emotionless Michiru finally got up and went to the living room, wondering where had Sousuke went and why was it so quiet (prob surprised no more punching). As she slowly approached the sofa, to her shock, Sosuke was lying peacfully on the sofa, clinging on to a wedding dress drapped over him, totally soaked in blood...

At the same time, Ruka's competition started. "Michiru, I'm starting off now"

Last friends episode 10 is out!

Last friends Episode 10 is out now! Thankfully it is a much shorter wait. Gonna watch it after dinner . Hang in there folks!

(Ghees.. so much things to write... so little time.... arrrrrhhhhhh...)

However for those waiting to know if Ruka was "physically" violated left off from the cliff hanger in last episode, well......................... she wasnt, at least not within the first 5 mins i have seen. After he punched her and tried to "slobber" all over her ear, Ruka reached out for the broken lamp stand and whack it across his back. She made a quick dash exit to a mall to buy new clothes for the one that was ripped. Why she didnt hang around to give him a few more good "bashing" (which I prob might) after all the violence and attempted rape was a pity....

Then again, I doubt I too would hang around, but i think I would have given the bastard a good whack to his legs at least to make sure he doesnt come chasing after me, and of course for the punches he threw earlier. Ok... I'm straying....

Zettai Kareshi Ep09 is out!

Just finished watching the first half of Zettai Kareshi episode 09 (plus a little of part 2) and I was laughing my socks off! My neighbor must be wondering what is so funny at 9am in the morning with me roaring away intermittenly. Ok I have to admit that Night-kun's role is getting more comical but I really like Soshi here! The way he was looking at Rikko (esp at the dolphin show) was so gentle, so sweet.... those soulful eyes could kill many girls out there!!!

Since I havent complete watching the series, the review will have to come later but suffice to quickly followup, Soshi quit and went to work at the bar where Rikko and Night normally work parttime. I love Soshi's expression when Rikko and Night walked into the bar to find him there and he did the wide grin smile with the 2-sign and said "2 Customers!" cheerfully.

The other funny scenes with Night kun were great too. Once again, the landland could barely hold in her drool (imaginery) when she was asking "Who is this handsome boy?" as she eyeballed Soshi, with him trying desperately to shake off her "attention" with the cake. Night was so funny comforting the landlord's chin when she learned about Tokishi's departure, and she was whimpering "Oh night is so kind and gentle" like a little kitty expression. The other part was when he was "stirring" up Soshi and his brother "Ma-Kun" at the bar and proclaiming both are exactly the same! It was hilarious! Then the part when he did the evil laugh proclaiming "Rikko is now Asamoto's rival" is so farnee as well!

Anycase, have to rush out to meet my friend coming from HK and so review will have to come later. For those who wants to find out what I am laughing so hard about (in the first half), you can have a go at the episode 9 first (raw in Japanese), without any subs.

PS: Caught a glimpse of the ending.....OMG!!! Soshi confessed in person to Rikko at the end!!! He told her he liked her and Night overheard! I was unconciously holding my breath when a surprised Rikko also confessed "わたしも, ずっとすきでした" ==> Watashi mo, Zutto suki deshita!" ( Me too, I have also liked you for a while now). I nearly died of shock that she actually admitted it! However I am expecting her to add on a "but..." in the next episode...

Music: Rihanna vs Estelle

I like Rihanna's "Don't stop the music" (dwnld) after watch the Australian TV series "Think you can dance". It has a great dance beat, catchy and fantastic to bob your head to, not to mention great staying power after months. However, I cannot say I like her new single release "Disturbia" (dwnld) as much. It just doesnt have same staying power as her previous release. Need to do better Rihanna. Selling a sexy image alone isnt enough. "Whip" your music creators harder to do your work for you.

On the other hand, we have Estelle with the American Boy (remix version) (dwnld). I like it much better! Incidentally Nova has a spoof of "Australian Boy". Trust them to be funny.

Anycase, here's a music video clip of the original version featruing Kanye West. (I prefer my remix version infinitely much better without Kanye West's ramblings. I thought he rather ruin the song than enhancing it.)

Leona Lewis Album "Spirit" Review

Went through UK singer Leona Lewis's album and while she truly is blessed with a great voice and much hype about her new album, I cannot say I am overly impressed with the songs itself. They are nice, but somehow still has a strong ring of commercialism to it. With Simon Cowell dabbling his hands in matters, I am NOT surprised. However, credit to her, she CAN sing.

Perhaps I am partial, I prefer new artists not to do covers. Songs that were sung so well previously in the past by the originals (eg" The last time i ever saw your face"), really shouldnt be attempted by a new vocalist. She did it well enough, but I still like the classics. Then again, it's a personal view and one should buy the album to judge for themselves. Leona is hailed as similar but a more updated voice version of Mariah Carey. I disagree. I think she is MUCH better than Mariah and definitely doesnt attempt the "act cute sexy" trashy image. At least not yet....(and hopefully never)

I played the album while driving and honestly, I didnt have the patience to sit through them all. They are all songs of the same "formula" and without personality. The first few tracks were good, such as "Bleeding Love", "Whatever it Takes" and my favourite "Better in Time" (dwnld). Perhaps piano starting always has the ability to hold my attention better.

"Homeless" track was a total put off for myself and the rest was a complete blur as I skipped past after the first few minutes.

The new version of "The last time I ever saw your face" was barely bearable but I know I will have people objecting with me. Somehow I just didnt like her belt out dragginess and it absolutely "killed" me in the car and I had to switch. I still prefer the Roberta Flack version done in the late 60s/early 70s.

Perhaps in time, the album "Spirit" will grow on me better (not on a car trip for sure). Time will tell.

Last Friends 09 Summary

Each episode gets better and better with this series and its getting to the climax soon!

I often found myself unconsiously holding my breath at each turn when something "bad" is about to happen!

As far, they still have not attempt to explain Takeru nor Sosouke's problems and the series is already coming to an end. Then again, the focus is about DV (domestic violence) victims so it naturally has to revolve more on Michiru. However the script is so fast paced and tight that I didnt really mind since I rather they don't do a draggy long out explanation and ruin everything fantastic now. "Ruka" is an amazing actress, she did the boyish role so well that I can almost believe her being a "boy".

Last friends Episode 09 Review

The sharehouse friends were feeling bored from Ruka’s absence. Just then, Ruka called to announce her win in the race and promised to return the next day for celebration with the rest.

The same night, Michiru passed Takeru’s room and chatted about Ruka. Takeru replied Ruka and himself are friends.The sort of friendship that wont change even till death.” Takeru said to himself.

The next night when she returned to sharehouse for celebration, Ruka thanked Takeru for being the emotional support (after learning her gender disorder truth) and with that, it had taken the weight off her shoulders. Michiru witnessed from the door, a cheerful Ruka and Takeru chatting happily. She thought to herself that it was the first time she saw a relaxed Ruka laughing happily in Takeru’s company.

Michiru answered the doorbell next morning and found Takeru’s sister at the door. While explaining her presence, Takeru’s sister suddenly rushed in and relaxed alittle upon seeing a snoozing Takeru in the living room. She left the banana bread and left. Just then Takeru woke and asked Michiru about the bread. He dropped the bread just Michiru informed him of his sister visit, and requested a surprised Michiru not to reveal the visit to anyone before dumping the bread away.

Due to a renewal of rental contract, Takeru volunteered to accompany Michiru to her mum’s home to request for approval. Unhappy, Michiru’s mum asked Michiru aside for private talk. Initally, Michiru was faced with her mum’s suspicions of Takeru ‘s character due to his appearance and her constant praise for Sousoke. Shocked by her mother’s slip, Michiru asked her mum when had she met Sousuke (since she has never made the introduction)! Sensing a problem, Takeru interrupted and requested her to avoid t=sharing Michiru’s whereabouts to Sosouke. At then, her mum confessed she had borrowed money from Sosuke. Takeru revealed about the truth of Sosuke’s physical abuse on Michiru. When the mum tried to make excuses that it was common for man to occasional behave as such, Takeru vehemently rejected that notion and that it was absolutely uncalled behavious. He officially requested the mum to protect Michiru as a mother would. With that, Michiru’s mother came round by Takeru’s sincerity and truth of words and quickly come to good terms with Takeru.

On way back, Michiru made an excuse and rushed off to avoid close intimacy with Takeru while sharing an umbrella. Unknown to her, Sosouke was stalking her! When he appeared before her, she trembled and tried to remind Sosuke that they had broken up. Unwilling to listen to her, Sosuke continued on with his wishful request for her to return home with him. In fear, she tried to flee and told a dumbfounded Sousuke to set her free as that she had fallen for someone else! Sousuke said he didn’t believe her but Michiru insisted it was the truth and run off, only to bump into Takeru who was searching all over for her.

The next day, an unsuspecting and happy (over a makeup job offer to work for movie production) Takeru was suddenly attacked by Sousuke’s crutches and fell down the stairs. In rage and jealousy, Sousuke unrelentlessly and cruelly bashed Takeru with his crutches and cracked Takeru’s hand! Learning the news, Ruka decided to move back to Sharehouse to protect Michiru - who was then feeling guilty and taking all responsibility for Takeru’s injuries. Ruka tried to assured Michiru it was Sousuke’s fault but Michiru insisted it was her confession to Sousuke that caused the incident. Ruka asked if Michir liked Takeru but Michiru replied she wasn’t sure and Ruka is the person of his affection. Ruka sigh with a smile and said “ Takeru and I are just friends ad not as what u think.”

WhileMichiru accompanied Takeru to the hospital, Ruka went to Sosuke’s flat to confront him. He tried to intimidate Ruka with threats of exposing her hospitals visits and disorder to her parents but Ruka was unafraid of anything anymore. Sensing his loss of advantage, he asked if everything was planned by Ruka. Ruka told him that Michiru was no longer his girlfriend had she had nothing to do with the chain of events.

Looking at Sosuke, Ruka added “ Michiru is standing up for herself and learning to live by herself. She is gradually falling for a real guy, someone gentle, someone who knows how to love someone else and she will be blissful. I will not let u ruin this happiness of hers.” Sousuke chucked and asked her what right does she have to say all these. Ruka stoically replied “Because…. The real person who loved her is me. Your sort of “love” isn’t love at all.”

Sousuke went silent before suddenly advanced towards Ruka and started to bash her! The fight ensued and at the end, Sosuke pinned her down on the floor and ripped her shirt apart after punching her!

Back at sharehouse, Takeru’s “glued” mug suddenly fell apart with the handled falling off! Both Takeru and Michiru looked on uncomfortably at the inauspicious omen!

Zettai Kareshi 08 Summary

Yeah! Episode 8 review is completed! (And last friends episode 9 is out too!) However, there was a small section where I couldnt get the video to load after 2 hours and I gave up. I personally didnt think the gap is important and we wont be missing much. Most of the exciting part is in the other half after the missing bits anycase.

Zettai Kareshi Episode 08 Review:

The episode begins with the introduction of Zero 2 robot in the lab. Gaku was shocked at the completion and being told that it is even more perfect compared to Zero1 with a 98.2% success rate in pleasing Rikko. Gaku worriedly asked about the future of Zero one (Night), only to be told that “useless appliances” will be discarded.

(Next scene shows Rikko messing with Night’s hairstyle (he wanted an image change) and she accidentally found the barcode behind his ear)



Heading to office, Rikko saw Natsumi and Soshi walking to office together and laughing away. Deliberately wanting to avoid them, Rikko sped up, but was spotted by Natsumi. At her greetings, Rikko turned around resignedly and greeted Natsumi with a bright smile and cheered her on for the competition. Natsumi asked if it was really alright this way as she was really looking forward to taste Rikko’s dessert. Rikko assured her that she couldn’t compete with Natsumi. Soshi looked alittle sad at Rikko’s comment and tried to interrupt. However Night who was watching Rikko all these while forestall Soshi, declaring that he is going on an office date with Rikko and scooped her up. While Natsumi laughed at the departing couple commenting Night being an interesting person, Soshi said Night was rather an unique weird person.

In the office, Rikko saw Mikka in the pantry and tried to start a conversation. She apologized for making Mikka felt bad about Night... before she could finished, Mikka abruptly cut her off and said she never ever want to speak to her again and walked away.

Natsumi distributed her new dessert creation to everyone in office for their opinion, impressing all of them with the taste. Soshi looked on at Rikko, while Mikka and another colleague indirectly mocked Rikko about her “wise decision” to withdraw from the competition.

After work by the river, Rikko stared despondently at the competition brochure before crumpling it and throwing it to the bin. She missed and hit a guy who looked like he was about to faint … from hunger! (It was quite funny when Rikko said “It’s only a paper! when she thought the guy had fainted from her hit)

Rikko brought the guy home and instructed Night to feed the guy with the rice he had prepared for her, not realizing that it was the only available bowl left!



After dinner, the guy introduced himself as T.O.K.I.S.H.I –san. Just then the landlord appeared. Knowing that Tokishi has no money nor a place to stay, the smitten landlord quickly offered her spare room. Tokishi replied sincerely “I am truly happy to be looked after by such an outstanding lady” The speechless landlord was over the moon by the smooth compliment (I was laughing my head off at her expression!)

Meanwhile, Night continued to address zero 2 as T.o.k.i.s.h.i (spelling it out) until Rikko told him to stop. Rikko lied again about her relationship with Night to Tokishi.

Just as Rikko started to pack up her baking tools, Tokishi dropped by with his baked cookies. While he was chatting on about the pot and shared interest in baking, Rikko confided that she felt like giving up on her patisserie dream as things weren’t going as well as she liked. She felt like dropping everything and leave for as far as possible. Upon this, Tokishi told her not to force herself and that he understood her current feelings and started to pack everything away. He told Rikko as he grabbed her hands: “You should try to let go temporarily. When one starts to hate something one use to love, it will be very sad. It is important to renew one’s feeling.”

Back in office, Soshi saw Rikko in the pantry but stop advancing when he saw Night approaching. Night out rightly told Rikko that he had seen the box’s content (at home). Rikko tried to change the subject but Night persisted and asked if she was giving up. She said yes in frustration but Night continued to ask if being patisserie wasn’t her dream. Rikko exclaimed that being patisserie is only reserved for talented people like Natsumi. However Night said that she shouldn’t run away and should go fulfil her dream. He would pray to the shooting stars for her dream to come true. Hearing this, Rikko got even more upset and told Night that things isn’t as simple as that and stormed off, leaving him to stare at the planetarium tickets sadly.

In his father’s office, Soshi stared at his granddad’s portrait and commented if his grandfather would like the Asamoto company now. “I like the Asamoto that granddad had built but not the one now.” Soshi confided in his father. His father replied that although his granddad was amicable, but he was also persistent and adamant about the things he thinks is right and in the process, trouble many around him. “In a way, you and your granddad are quite alike” his dad added with a chuckle to a surprised Soshi.

Not willing to give up, Night approached a hopeful Mikka, only to disappoint her with his request for Mikka to encourage Rikko to persist on with her dream. Mikka was pissed and stormed off, stating that she had never claimed Rikko as her best friend. Tokishin entered the scene and locked Night in the office room. Behind the locked door, he jeered at Night’s “inability” to break free and that he is the only one who can provide happiness to Rikko before going after Rikko.

Tokishi caught up with Rikko and asked her out on the pretence to rid her worries. On the other hand, Night who was worried about Rikko broke down the door, defying the built in function of not damaging office property. Alarmed by the alert, a worried Gaku called Rikko to ask after Night’s whereabout unsucessfully. As she hung up, Rikko had second thoughts about leaving with Tokishi when she saw the ticket that Night left behind in her bag. At this, Tokishi professed his love and dragged her off to the carpark.

Rikko tried to reject Tokishi again but he would have none of it. Just then Night appeared and demanded Tokishi to released Rikko. They advanced towards each other and with a gentle push, Night was flung across the carpark by Tokishi. Tokishi cheerfully let on his true identity and the fight begins (with lotsa lighting effects and rotating of camera… really.. what a lame fight)

Gaku appeared on scene and stopped Rikko from getting involved. Rikko saw the dropped planetarium ticket and retrieved it without realizing an oncoming vehicle.

Zero 2 did a mental probability on the bodily damage to himself if he saved Rikko and hence halted his attempts to save Rikko. Night however lunged forward without care and grabbed Rikko to safety as he crashed against the wall, temporarily ceasing his function. A concerned Rikko demanded Gaku to fix him and angrily told Tokishi to stop where he was when he started babbling about his love.

In the van, Gaku was shocked when Night manually overridden the service suspension. The first thing Night did was to ask after Rikko. Rikko said she was fine and it should be Night that should stop worrying her. Night apologized and Rikko smiled. Gaku apologized for sending zero 2 accidentally and Rikko reprimanded him. Gaku gave her the option to swop but she declined, firmly stating that Night was very important to her. Gaku smiled, knowing that Rikko has already fallen for Night unconsciously. Tokishi was sent back to the lab and the mass production based on zero 2 modelling was halted as a result of Rikko’s choice.

Soshi tendered his resignation. Rikko and Night saw him standing alone in the pantry and Rikko went forth informing Soshi that she still wanted to join the competition. Just as Rikko was fretting about Natsumi being chosen as the representative of Asamoto, Soshi happily and cheekily informed bout his resignation to a shocked Rikko!
